About Me

About Me

I am a specialist teacher with over 17 years’ experience supporting children and young people across mainstream and specialist SEND settings.

Over the years, I have worked closely with families navigating challenges that can feel overwhelming, uncertain and at times isolating – especially in the everyday moments that others may not see.

My History

Throughout my career, I have supported autistic children, children with ADHD, and those experiencing anxiety, emotional overwhelm and communication differences, often within complex and demanding systems.

As a leader in specialist education, I have helped shape approaches to behaviour, wellbeing and inclusion – always focusing on what truly supports the child.

I have supported many families navigating paths that don’t always feel straightforward – often feeling unsure, overwhelmed or unheard.

This experience has given me a deep understanding of the emotional, practical and systemic challenges families face — and the importance of calm, informed and compassionate support.

My Beliefs

At the heart of my work is a belief that children thrive when they feel safe, understood and genuinely valued – in environments that adapt to their strengths.

Happy Mindful Child brings together my professional experience in education, safeguarding and wellbeing with a deeply personal commitment to supporting neurodivergent children and their families.

This work matters deeply to me – not just professionally, but personally. It has been created not only from years of professional experience, but from lived understanding, compassion and a genuine love for the work I do.

My aim is simple: to help children feel understood, families feel supported, and to create the conditions in which neurodivergent children can genuinely flourish.

What parents say

“You really understand my child.”

“Thank you for always checking in on their wellbeing.”

“My child grew in confidence because of the encouragement and support they received.”

Small, thoughtful changes made consistently can have a powerful impact on a child’s confidence, wellbeing, and ability to engage with the world.
